Trainbook Terms of Use
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Xiaofeng Liu, the individual developer of Trainbook ("we", "us"), covering the Trainbook apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch and the Trainbook service (together, "Trainbook"). By creating an account or using Trainbook, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Not medical advice
Exercise carries a risk of injury. You choose what to do and you are responsible for training safely and within your limits. Heart-rate zones, suggestions, plans, and summaries are estimates and may be wrong.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Trainbook. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use Trainbook only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.
3. Your account
Give accurate information, keep your password secret, and tell us at support@xinwon.com if you think someone else has accessed your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → About → Delete Account). Deletion is immediate and permanent, as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. The AI Assistant
The AI Assistant (also shown as "Sports Assistant") generates text with a third-party large language model. Its output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for you. Use your own judgment and do not rely on it for medical, safety, or other important decisions. The AI Assistant sends your data to an AI provider only after you allow it in the app. You can withdraw that permission at any time. Weekly AI usage limits may apply.
5. Apple Health and other services
Trainbook can read from and write to Apple Health with your permission, and it works with Apple Watch and Fitness+. Those services are provided by Apple under Apple's terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, including AI providers you choose to connect.
6. Acceptable use
Do not misuse Trainbook. In particular, do not break the law; access other people's accounts; probe, overload, or disrupt the service; reverse engineer it except where the law allows; get around usage limits; or use the AI Assistant to create unlawful, harmful, or abusive content.
7. Your content
You own the data and content you put into Trainbook. You give us permission to store, process, and transmit it only as needed to run Trainbook for you, including sending it to AI providers when you have allowed that. We do not claim any other rights to it.
8. Trainbook Plus and fees
Trainbook is free to use with limits. A free account keeps training logs, plans, records, and Apple Health sync, can run a limited number of plans at once, has a light AI Assistant allowance, and does not include MCP access or a custom AI provider. Apple may offer an introductory subscription period; that offer is billed by Apple and is not a separate Trainbook account trial.
Trainbook Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription sold through the Apple App Store, billed monthly or yearly. It adds more AI Assistant use, unlimited active plans, MCP access, and a custom AI provider. The price is shown in the app and on the App Store before you buy, in your local currency.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings; cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep Plus until the current period ends. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. One subscription is linked to one Trainbook account. If we change the price, Apple will tell you before it applies, as its rules require.
9. Changes and termination
Trainbook may change over time, and we may add or remove features. We may suspend or end access for accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using Trainbook and delete your account at any time. If we change these Terms materially, we will update the effective date and tell you in the app. If you keep using Trainbook after that, you accept the new Terms.
10. Disclaimers
TRAINBOOK IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT TRAINBOOK WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY INJURY OR LOSS ARISING FROM EXERCISE OR FROM RELYING ON TRAINBOOK OR AI OUTPUT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO TRAINBOOK IS LIMITED TO US$50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
13. Apple
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Trainbook or its content. Your use of the app must also follow the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.
